Bedbugs

Bedbugs: an insect to eradicate from your home as quickly as possible!

Bedbugs are biting and bloodsucking insects that develop in temperate climates around the world. They are especially found in large conurbations, such as Geneva, where people movements take place more often, encouraging the spread of the epidemic.

Bedbugs are generally found in the hidden recesses of dwellings, but especially bedrooms, near their food source: your blood!

Bed frames and bedheads, bases, mattress seams, skirting boards and parquet floors are their favourite spots. Nevertheless, they can also be found in electric sockets, switches, behind picture frames, chests of drawers, cupboards, etc. There are many tell-tale signs of the presence of bedbugs including:

  • Small red or brown spots that correspond to blood or the insect's excrement.
  • A person in contact with the insect can present with red patches or bumps on the body.
  • Bites visible on the skin.

If you think you have seen one of these signs, don't hesitate to contact Detectbug!
